What it's made of
An oxidised silver-tone jhumka that starts with a little parrot at the earlobe, carries a faceted magenta stone, and ends in a domed bell fringed with pearl beads. Small pearl drops hang either side of the stone, so it moves even when you don't.
How to look after it
Put it on after perfume and hairspray, not before. Wipe with a dry cloth after wearing. Store it in the pouch it came in rather than loose in a box — scratches dull the plating faster than anything else.
